¿Who I´m?

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog, my name is Sebastian Barrios, I am 20 years old, I study Physiotherapy and I am currently studying 6 semesters. The purpose of this blog is to share my activities and experience in English level III.

The Ways Of Greeting In Different Countries

The world is very big as well as the ways of greeting but each country has its own way of greeting and also its own customs

In Latin American countries, new people are generally greeted by the hand, but if it is a relative or a very close friend, they are greeted with a kiss on the cheek if they are a woman and a hug if they are a man.

¿Are There Wrong Ways To Greet Someone? 

Although most countries share the same way of greeting as others, there are some that are not very well seen due to their culture or tradition. For example in Asian countries.

In Asian countries it is not customary to shake hands, kiss, because in their culture physical contact is not well seen. The correct way to greet someone in this region is with a bow.

                     

GOING TO THE MOVIES

In the film industry there are different types of genres in which people feel more attracted to see one of their movies, these are:

4). An Animeted Film
5). A Comedy Film
6). A Drama
7). A Documentary
8). A Musical

 

¿Talk to your friends about what movie they would like to see? or what kind of movie genre do they prefer?

Don't know what movies to watch? Well I can recommend some very good movies, among the genres are laughter, action, fantasy, animated and romance... one of these movies would be small but dangerous which is one of my favorite movies and a silent voice 

¿HOW WILL THE FUTURE BE?

I believe that with the new advances that we are having with technology we will be closer to making trips to space.

¿What will the moon be like?

I believe that the moon will have all the welcoming environments to spend some good times, so who would I go with? Well, I think I would go with my family to stay a couple of days and enjoy all the activities that I would do on the moon.

¿How will you feel?

Traveling to other planets is the dream or fantasy of every child and mine included, I would be very happy to be able to travel and see new planets. If you ask me about the planet I would choose to travel to, it would be Mars, because it has a climate similar to the ones on Earth.

Currently hotels have different types of services and rooms for the needs of each client, they can even be done through online services.

Most hotels already have their own web page, where anyone can make a reservation from their cell phone.

Among the different types of services offered by hotels are: Business Center, Wake Up, Bell, Pool and Sauna, Wireless internet Service, Laundry Service, 24 Hour Roon Service.

   

I have never been to a hotel but I know some people who have, my friend Jose last year stayed at the hilton hotel in Colombia with his family, he told me it was incredible and the hotel had many services including a mini bar and gym

My Experice In Hotel

Next year I will go on a vacation with my family to celebrate my mother's graduation, we will go to Cartagena and stay at the Hilton Hotel, I would like to reserve a single room with a sea view, I would like to go to the hotel pool to swim and have fun with my family.

Among the services that I would need the most would be the 24-hour service and the Internet.

Although we would make a reservation as long as they let pets stay, since we have one and we do not want it to stay alone in our house.

Driving Habits

My dad has a car, I bought it a year ago and to be honest he is a good driver, he respects the safety regulations, he makes traffic signals and everything... but he has a bit of a high temper since every time someone commits a bug gets too angry and sometimes leads to various problems

FAMOUS EVENT

Today we are going to see a very important topic, which is the difference between the past simple and the past continuous in English.

To form the past simple, we put an -ed at the end of a regular verb, or we use an irregular verb, which has another form.

SIMPLE PAST:

1). Last year I traveled to a Feid concert in Medillin. it was amazing.
2). In 2014 I went to the mediafest club where I met one of my favorite youtubers.
3). I went to the baru islands last year with my family and met fun people.
4). Yesterday I did a very long work on the quality of life in post covid patients.
5). Two weeks ago I bought a fancy T-shirt for my mother's graduation.
6). Yesterday I came home at 8:30 AM because I was at a University party.
7). On Thursday my work went well, I sold new items for my business project.
8).A month ago I saw how one of my friends sang at a University event, I weighed it very well and I had fun.
9).Last year I was in a meeting with several well-known professors from other universities, they went to see my research project and they gave me several ideas.
10). Two years ago I traveled with some friends to Bogota to see a Zech concert.

PAST CONINUOUS

1). This week I was walking late by the U and I found a well-known Streamer in Barranquilla, his name is Orlandorq.
2). On Tuesday I was leaving class and I ran into a friend.
3). Today I got up late because yesterday I was doing an entrepreneurial project.
4). On Saturday I was working with my friends on a new business project.
5). Tonight I had a party eating in a restaurant with my best friend.
6). Today I took my best friend to her house because we were eating at a restaurant in Barranquilla.
7). Yesterday I was playing several games of a video game with my little cousins.
8). Today I was training with my friend at the gym.
9). Yesterday the power went out and I couldn't finish the work I was doing.

COMUNICATIVE SITUATION #1

1# On a saturday afternoon, would you rather go to a spa or to a fitnees canter? Neither of the two, I would like to play video games with my friends
